FAQ - General Conference Information
The virtual conference will kick off on April 27, 2020, with live events scattered throughout the schedule. Part of our offering will be On-Demand content that will allow you to learn at your own pace. This will be available beginning the week of May 18, 2020.
The cost to participate in the virtual conference is $450 for members / $550 for non-members. You can join BPA here to receive the member rate.
If you have already registered for the in-person conference and would like to transfer your registration to the virtual conference, you may do so by filling out this form.
We are working to secure funding to allow small contracting businesses who have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic to participate in the virtual conference. To request assistance, fill out this form.
Yes! The virtual conference registration and staff time to attend are allowable uses of T&TA funds.
BPA invites WAP participants to join us at the 2020 National Home Performance Virtual Conference. Although our agenda is still being finalized, we will be presenting on technical sessions in building science, diagnostics, audits, as well as weatherization program management.
If you have already registered for the in-person 2020 Conference, you may transfer your registration to the Virtual Conference. For those unable to participate in the Virtual Conference, DOE encourages previously registered attendees to roll their registrations over as a credit for the 2021 conference. You may make your registration transfer or rollover requests by using this form.
If you have not registered for the Virtual Conference but would like to attend, registration will open shortly.
WAP staff are encouraged to attend the conference, and costs related is allowable as a WAP Training and Technical assistance expense. (T&TA). Read the memo here and contact your DOE Project Officer with additional information.
Registration for the virtual conference is now open. As of April 20, 2020, all in-person registrations will automatically be transferred to the virtual conference, and the balance will be applied to your account as credit good through 2021. FAQ - Conference Attendee Information
You will have access to all sessions for 12 months after sessions are released. On-demand sessions will be available after May 18th. Live sessions will also be recorded and available for 12 months.
For the first few weeks of the virtual conference, April 27 - through the beginning of May, participants can attend live events virtually as they are happening. Recording of these sessions will also be made available for later playback. Either way, you won't miss a thing! Examples of real-time opportunities would be Q&As with presenters, virtual happy hours, and specific chat sessions. View live sessions and opportunities here.
Yes! You will still be able to earn CEUs by participating in the online sessions, both live and recorded. You must have your BPI identification number on your registration in order to earn credit. For BPI, you will earn 1 credit per 60 minutes. You must complete the entire online session to earn credit. If you missed a live session, the majority of them will be recorded for you to attend at a later date and still earn credit. BPI has also removed the CEU hours limit for webinars, which means you can earn as many CEUs through the conference as you want!
On Monday, April 27, 2020, our live sessions will begin. The live sessions will be streamed "live" on the virtual conference site. You will need a passcode to access live sessions. The passcode will be emailed to registered attendees. In addition to live presentations led by industry experts, there will be happy hours, and town hall-style meetings. On-demand sessions will begin sometime after May 18, 2020. These are pre-recorded sessions that can be accessed and watched at your own pace. View on-demand sessions here.
You will receive an email with your password to access the live portion of the virtual conference 24 hours before the conference begins on Monday, April 27th. When joining a live session, please provide your full name and email address in order to receive continuing education credits. Your BPI number must be on your registration form to receive BPI credits.
An on-demand library of recorded sessions will be available after May 18th and will be available in batches. You will receive instructions via email on how to access the on-demand library as soon as sessions are available. You will have access to the on-demand library for 12 months and can watch the sessions and learn at your own pace.
